QuickBooks Pro Training A software program and business management tool: Students receive developmental course work in the basic management of record keeping and the applied generally accepted accounting theory as presented in the Intuit Student Manuals and software program. The curriculum provides a strong business background with special focus on the financial aspects or business mamangement and record keeping procedures. In addition to the general QuickBooks Pro training, the participants are prepared for a variety of careers in both industry and government, including positions such as QuickBooks Pro accounting trainee and QuickBooks Pro junior bookkeeper.
- Objective: Participants will be able to use the basic fundamentals of applied record keeping using the QuickBooks Pro software program and financial systems
- Schedule: QuickBooks Pro is a 4-week program consisting of one 3-hour session each week. Homework will be assigned

Public Speaking & PowerPoint
The introduction to the fundamentals of PowerPoint includes the manipulation and techniques used for the chronological organization of factual and supporting materials, illustrations, persuasive speeches, and professional presentations. This two-phase training program covers such important topics as stage fright, organization, delivery, clarity, posture, gestures, facial expressions, and vocal aspects
- Objective: Participants will be able to design, produce, and deliver sales, corporate, or functional presentations using the cutting-edge technology available to speakers in today's professional marketplace
- Schedule: This is a two-week, 12-hour training program that meets twice each week for a 3-hour training session. Program consists of both lecture and applied theory
- Equipment and Supplies: Instructor's laptop with a DVD media player, PowerPoint software and projector, and one computer for each participant. Handouts and instruction sheets are provided for each participant

Industry specific business topics are provided to WORC participants during all training programs at no additional charge
